Sebastian Bach, former frontman of Skid Row and friend of Axl Rose, says that the Guns N Roses singer could be furious about the leak of purported songs from the band's new album.
Last week, six songs that have appeared before in unfinished form and three songs - 'Rhiad and the Bedouins', 'If the World' and an unnamed track – appeared on a music blog.
The blogger who posted them claimed that they were due to appear on Guns N Roses long awaited new album 'Chinese Democracy'. All nine tracks have since been removed.
Speaking to Rolling Stone about the leak, Bach said that he has only seen Rose angry twice during their friendship – firstly, when he invited Ron Jeremy into the band's dressing room and, secondly, when he suggested the band release their new album.
“When we were first hanging out in 2006, we were just standing around a bunch of people. I go, ‘Axl, do you think you might get the record out? It would be a great time, now that we’re on tour and everything',” Back explained.
“He goes, ‘Oh. Great! Everybody! Sebastian has a great idea here, man. Guess what? Sebastian, should I put out a record?
“Maybe it would be a good idea for me to put out a fucking record! Hey everybody, listen to this! I never thought of that! That never came to me! Oh, great idea dude'.”
Production on 'Chinese Democracy', which was last scheduled for release in March 2007, originally began in 1994 and has cost the band's Rose a reported $13million.
Earlier this year, drinks company Dr Pepper promised each American citizen a free drink if the band released the album before the end of 2008.
